Vintage 1974 Topps GUM BERRIES Bubble Gum Display Box 8.75” container candy

Remember Gum Berries Gum, the gum pieces came in a little wax paper cup that was printed to look like a fruit picking basket and you peeled the paper tab off to eat the bubble gum?! This box is for those! 46 YEARS OLD! A piece of history, a piece from our childhood! Did you ever think you’d see this again? Good times! This is an original display box from the 1974 release. It features some restoration, details below. The box is empty, nothing inside. So, display it how you like or store in it what you like, or even flatten it and frame it in shadow box, I’ve seen other collectors do this and it looks amazing. Approximately 8.75”wide x 6.5”deep x3.25”tall.

Proudly Presents: Circa ‘74 RARE Topps Empty Display Box for Topps Gum Berries bubble gum from the early part of the Silver Era of Novelty Candy (1969-1999). Love those sunny colors and graphics-CLASSIC! It shows 3 children in the summer picking berries, like a scene out of Boxcar Children. On back has an ad for other Topps products: Big Tooth, Gum Shakes, Sports Cards, Big Mouth, Gold Rush! Remember those, too?! (I have those for sale in separate listings, check out my entire store inventory)
*Condition: Features actual restoration, on one side panel and top part of the piece was ripped off so a cut off piece of cardstock from the SAME Gum Berries proof was used to patch the missing piece. It’s very small as you can see, but necessary to full construct the box into box form. Some creasing and wear, some of the seams have been reinforced with carton adhesive tape during the restoration project to keep the box edges from breaking or splitting in half, the tape is only seen if the box is opened, nothing showing on outside. 100% ORIGINAL! The box came to me flat and I had to take some vintage copper stables from another Topps candy display to assemble the box in an upright position. -I personally store my boxes flat to save space but I always save the staples in case I want to display them or photograph them but otherwise they are flattened. I can ship this to you in box form or flattened, just let me know. It’s not hard to remove and retighten the copper carton staples. If you buy more than one I would certainly recommend shipping multiple boxes flat, and just re-ensemble them when you get it home.
