I'm currently listing a large number of playbills representing some of the most memorable Broadway performances of the 1950's and 1960's ....... This is a rare four-page preview playbill from the Original Broadway production of the ARTHUR LAURENTS and STEPHEN SONDHEIM musical flop "ANYONE CAN WHISTLE" at the Majestic Theatre in New York City. (After twelve preview performances, the production opened April 4th, 1964 and closed after only nine performances.) ..... The musical starred LEE REMICK, ANGELA LANSBURY and HARRY GUARDINO (all three in their musical stage debuts) and featured GABRIEL "Gabe" DELL, ARNOLD SOBOLOFF, JAMES FRAWLEY, PEG MURRAY, DON DOHERTY, STERLING CLARK, HARVEY EVANS, LARRY ROQUEMORE and TUCKER SMITH ..... on the back page and light creasing from normal handling, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
