    Description

Because there was no Spanish Market this year, we're back on ebay!
Offered here is another beautiful hand-painted santo retablo of Santa Barbara, St. Barbara,  by my grandmother, Marie Romero Cash. She is a well-known Santera/folk artist born in Santa Fe, NM, and has been in Spanish Market for over 40 years.   Her works are in major private and museum collections, which include The Smithsonian, the Museum of International Folk Art, Gene Autry Museum and others. She is  known for having painted the Stations of the Cross for St. Francis Cathedral Basilica in Santa Fe, and also for St. Johns Methodist Church in Albuquerque. She has also created works for churches throughout Northern New Mexico, San Luis and Pueblo Colorado. This piece is signed and dated, hand painted in watercolors   and measures 5x7x3/4". It has never been sold or displayed and is in mint condition, recently painted. Definitely one of a kind piece to add to your collection. Patron saint of the home, against lightning, thunderstorms, earthquakes, engineers..
