    Description

Offered is an antique Northwest Coast Tlingit or Haida Native American or First Nation Basket, which sadly is in pieces with the bottom torn out and several tears, splits, and one chunk gone on one side. The bottom also has two splits.
You can see from the second picture, that it would display nicely on a shelf with the bottom placed inside.
It measures approx. 8" across by 4". The weaving is beautiful with a chain design.
This is a great basket for a restorer, who might be able to restore it to some of its former beauty. I purchased it from an online estate auction and wasn't able to see the damage. Since I don't have the skill to restore it, I'm hoping somewhere out there does. Except for the one chunk gone, it appears that the rest of the basket is there, just torn or split.
Please see pictures so you know the condition.
General Information about our business, shipping, holding items,
    etc.:
    * Most of the items we sell come from our personal collection gathered over the years from our travels, from Native powwows and craft stores, antique shops, auctions and estate sales. Now that our kids are in college and beyond, we are letting some items go so others can enjoy them.
    *We w
ill gladly combine orders to save you on shipping charges.   Please email for a combined invoice before paying. Sometimes a few first class items jump to priority pricing (.25 and up) because weight puts a package over the 16 ounce limit. Sorry, I can't combine collectibles and book/Magazine purchases.
*If you want me to hold items for the next week's auction, please contact me and
    wait
to pay until the last auction ends. Then I'll send you a combined invoice. If you pay right away, I will NOT be able to hold your items due to Ebay's ship within 1-day after payment rule. Please tell me if you are waiting for next week's auction. If you don't communicate and don't pay, you will get an automated non-paying bidder notice from Ebay after 4 days. Thank you!
    *International Buyers:
I will mail first class to Canada but to all other locations, I prefer to mail priority to insure your item arrives safely. Please email me with questions. Sorry for the expense, but  I've had items lost overseas when mailing first class and don't want to take the risk of losing items.
*I pack carefully and try to reuse materials to save on environmental impact. I often double-box items with smaller gift boxes collected from various thrift stores. Though I don't like styrofoam peanuts for environmental reasons, I have found they are the best at protecting fragile  items against damage during shipping. I reuse all that I receive and hope you will make use of the ones that come in your packages. Thank you.
    * Please contact us before leaving negative feedback if something isn't right with your item. We want you to be satisfied with your purchase
