    Description:
This is a excellent very good or fine scarce banknote from the Netherlands. This is the March 19, 1941 issue 20 Gulden. The note shows the image of Queen Emma to the right of the front with an image of several sail ships in the sea to the right. The front is violet and olive colored with the denomination in numerals as well as spelled out. The front also shows two signatures. The back is also of the same coloring as the front and has the image of Schreiers Tower to the left and St. Nicholas Church to the right (both in Amsterdam) with central circle of elaborate design. The back has the name Amsterdam and the date 19 March 1941 to the left and the serial number DV 067244 printed in black three times as well as the denomination which is also shown in numerals in three different spots. The note has a watermark consisting bubbles or balls in a continuous bunch and a circular shape in the center. This is a rather scarce banknote and the Krause Catalog suggests that it is worth in good grade, 5 in fine grade, and 5 in XF grade. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.
