This is a rare May 13th, 1977 playbill from the two-night, Post-Broadway engagement of the WILLIAM LUCE play "THE BELLE OF AMHERST" at the Sacramento Community Convention Center in Sacramento, California. (The play opened April 28th, 1976 at the Longacre Theatre in New York City and ran for 116 performances before going on the road.) ..... Based on the life of EMILY DICKINSON, the one-character play starred JULIE HARRIS (shown in the cover photo) .....
