This is a rare August 1964 playbill from theNew York Shakespeare Festival production
of the William Shakespeare classic "OTHELLO" at the Playhouse in the Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (The production opened July 8th, 1964 at New York's Delacorte Theatre in Central Park and played 25 performances before going on the road.) ..... The play starred JAMES EARL JONES in the title role, JULIENNE MARIE as "Desdemona", MITCHELL RYAN as "Iago" and SADA THOMPSON as "Emilia" and featured JAMES ANTONIO, MAURY COOPER, JOAN DeWEESE, HERBERT NELSON, JOHN RAYNER, WILLIAM DEVANE, LEONARD HICKS and EDWARD SETRAKIAN .....
