    Description

    I/O and Relay Add-on Board, 7x I/O, 2x Relay, PIC16F1503, UEXT
    MOD-IO2
The MOD-IO2 is similar to the
    MOD-IO
but is smaller, with only two relays, does not have opto-isolation, requires a stricter power input, and uses a PIC microcontroller instead of an AVR.
This is a stackable (or rather, chainable) development board which adds relays and GPIOs to any development board that has a UEXT interface. It makes for an easy way to add two relays and seven GPIOs to your system. It has both a male and a female UEXT connector, allowing multiple MOD-IO2 boards to be chained together so you can add as many inputs and outputs as you want. MOD-IO2 has a PIC16F1503 microcontroller, and the firmware is available for modification.
I/O Expander & Relay Board Features
    Microchip PIC16F1503 microcontroller
ICSP 6-pin connector for in-circuit programming with
    PIC-KIT3
    or compatible programmer/debugger
9-pin terminal screw connector for 7 GPIOs, 3.3V and GND
Power jack (2.5mm barrel, center positive) for 12V DC @ 1A max.
7 GPIOs which can implement different functionality such as PWM, SPI, I2C, etc.
2 relay outputs with 15A/250V AC contacts, connected via screw terminals
    Relay output status LEDs
Four mounting holes 3.3 mm (0.13")
FR-4, 1.5 mm (0.062"), soldermask, white silkscreen component print
    Dimensions: 61 × 52 mm (2.4 × 2.05")
    UEXT Connector
The UEXT connector provides a solderless way to connect this module to a system with a microcontroller. There are dozens of microcontroller systems and development boards that can connect to this module via UEXT using the supplied cable. Click on the architectures below for lists of compatible boards:
    ARM7, ARM9, ARM Cortex
