Gallopin' Gurdies
This Diatonic Hurdy Gurdy was made by local woodworkers/luthiers in Oregon who enjoy making folk musical instruments both common and unusual.
Each Hurdy Gurdy features 4 guitar tuners - which make tuning
more
accurate and reliable than friction pegs that tend to slip.
It does include the guitar strap (colors may vary), and we also include a

rosin the wheel.
It has 4 strings and 12 noter keys in a single row forming a diatonic scale with the flexibility to play in several keys.
The tangents are adjustable
so you
can really dial in the individual notes just the way you like it.
They are currently strung with full sized Viola "D" (2 Chanters) and "G"& "C" (2 Drone) Strings.  While the adjustable tangents allow for  flexibility in tuning to different keys, we have tuned them to D Major with the open chanter strings tuned to "D".  This gives a very nice voice straight away while you're learning how cool this instrument really is!
The drones and chanters feature rest positions so you can play your Gurdy with both (full sound), one (backup sound), or neither (for a duet effect of the chanters only) of the drones to achieve the sound you want or just the drones if you're looking for just the backup sound... Play 1 string, play all 4 strings, or any mix you like!
The keys function as they should.
Body is about 17" long, about 22" including the peg head and turning knob.
About 9 " wide at widest point
About 7" high, from back of body to top of key box.
Crank turns with the right hand, keys are played with the left hand.
Hurdy Gurdys are folk instruments that can be played with regular sheet music, or "by ear", or make your own music!
Compose your own tunes or play established ones. It's all good!
These are a lot of fun to play and play with.

RETURN POLICY:
Returned merchandise must be received in the same condition as it was originally shipped...
no alterations, no damage.
Any repairs needed to bring it back up to original working
condition (
strings, broken bridges, wheels, wheel covers, keys, tailpiece, tuners, etc.) will be deducted from your refund.
Contact us before returning an item.
The above 30 days allowed time-frame for returns is initiated upon package delivery.
The buyer is responsible for the return shipping charge.
We also require a tracking number and insurance when the buyer ships the product back to us.
Item must be returned, received, and checked out before a refund will be issued.
