This is a rare playbill from the Off-Broadway production of the TOM EYEN burlesque "THE NEON WOMAN" at New York's Hurrah Discotheque. (The Original Off-Broadway production opened April 16th, 1978 and ran for 84 performances.) ..... The outrageous murder mystery set in a Baltimore Burlesque House starred DIVINE, who played a retired stripper and the cast included MARIA DUVAL, SWEET WILLIAM EDGAR, GEORGE PETERSON, WILLIAM DUFF-GRIFFIN, DEBRA GREENFIELD, HELEN HANFT, BRENDA BERGMAN, LEE CORBET and HOPE STANSBURY ..... CREDITS: Book by TOM EYEN ("Dreamgirls", "The Dirtiest Show in Town", "Women Behind Bars" and the Off-Off-Broadway productions "Miss Nefertiti Regrets" and "Cinderella Revisited", both starring Bette Midler in 1965); Sets designed by HERBERT NAGLE; Costumes designed by VAN SMITH; Directed by RON LINK; Produced by BRUCE MAILMAN and INA MEIBACH MINKIN .....
