It is entirely made - carved by hand .
Back-plate made from walnut wood , top-plate
from old cedar Lebanon wood (katrani), fingerboard cedar, down bridge walnut.
The glue used is from fish scales ( psarokolla ) and glaze from tree resin ( shellac ) .
It can be used from  professional Cretan Lyra players.
