    This type of instrument is the same category like erhu huqin. As it uses coconut shell as the resonant box so the it sound higher pitch than erhu.
    Coconut shell huqin is a very popular strings instrument in southern region of China. Hakka people music uses this huqin as main accompaniment   instrument.
