Clarte Silver Company (Greek, 20th-21st century), 925 sterling silver and mixed materials. The first icon depicts St. George and the Dragon, after Byzantine hagiography, with the face painted on canvas. The second icon depicts the Madonna as the Theotokos, with the Christ Child standing on her lap. Provenance: 8 3/4 inches tall X 6 1/2 inches wide; 22.2 cm tall X 16.5 cm wide.
