This is a rare broadside (single page playbill) from the Post-Broadway engagement of the LEONARD BERNSTEIN, BETTY COMDEN and ADOLPH GREEN musical comedy "WONDERFUL TOWN" at the Shubert Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (The production opened February 26th, 1953 at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City and ran for 559 performances before going on the road.) ..... The musical starred CAROL CHANNING (who replaced ROSALIND RUSSELL late in the Broadway run) and featured BETTY GILLETT, ROBERT GOSS, DORT CLARK, PAUL LIPSON, DON BARTON, ISABELLA HOOPES, TED BENIADES, JOAN KIBRIG and JORDAN BENTLEY ..... CONDITION: With the exception of two small edge tears and moderate creasing, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
