Description

Charango is one of the most popular Andean musical instrument - a small guitar with six wire strings; similar to a lute.
This unique guitar is made out of the outer skeleton of the armadillo. Quirquincho (hairy armadillo)
This has been in a private collection. It is from Argentina and has been on display and never used. Vintage 1957
It measures: 21”L x 6”W
It has six wire strings.
The Armadillo Charango is no longer produced.
A very rare musical find.
