    Description

    Beautiful antique carved wood plaque with .950 silver center depicting The Last Supper with Jesus and his Apostles, amazing detailed relief repousse - all done in .950 silver with 24k gold gilding - the original label is on the back with signature of artist and made in Greece. The wood carving needs a little restoration but a beautiful piece - perhaps was a door plaque - I tried to show some photos with and without flash to try to show the detailing which is beautiful.  This one is a little more unusual than others I have researched with the apostles seated completely around the table.   Measures about 11" wide by 8 1/2" tall.  I can't tell if originally the wood on the front was all black but the silver is in beautiful condition - I really don't see any major dents - I am happy to send more photos if you would like.  I will ship Priority Mail with signature request.
