Beautifully hand painted central panel of Christ, with four Evangelists in corners, golden metallic trim and fringe, beautiful piece of religious artwork that needs to be framed
The Plashanitsa is used on the last two days of Holy Week as part of the ceremonies marking the death and resurrection of Christ. It is placed on the Altar table.
Age - 19th Century
Size - approximately 58"H x 33 1/2"W, without fringe
Condition - creases and associated wear to image, separations and tears to cloth, two holes to back
