Description
These poplar guitar necks are hand-made in the C. B. Gitty workshops in the state of New Hampshire, USA, and we work hard to make sure they are a high-quality product! We use the same style neck on ourPure and Simple Kit.
They were designed for the stick-on box style of guitar, but they could also be utilized for neck-through guitars as well.
These necks are approximately 36 long, 1 1/2" wide and 3/4" thick (some may be very slightly thicker). They come pre-marked with bridge for a 23" scale and pre-drilled holes in the headstock for our
Economy tuners
(2 left/1 Right) as well as pre-marked holes for screws. The holes for the tuners can easily be drilled out and the holes for the installations screws filled in with wood filler to accommodate other styles of tuners. There are also pre-drilled holes ready for mounting long-shank eyelets for strings.
This neck features a glued-on poplar fretboard with zero fret with a wooden string retainer and is fully fretted with 20 frets to a 23" scale with high-quality medium/medium nickel-silver fret wire that has been end-dressed and should be ready for use, though of course you can always smooth things down even more if you prefer. Screws that we use for installation of the fretboard also double as fret position markers.
Please note that the exact appearance of each neck will vary depending on individual grain patterns. Some pieces may have a slight greenish hue, due to the nature of the hardwood (poplar) used.
Please note:
This listing is for the neck only. No other hardware included. The image of the completed Pure and Simple is for demonstration purposes only.
