    Description

    Here's an unusual
    1950 FLEER "DUBBLE BUBBLE GUM" SHELF DISPLAY HOLDER
    , designed for counters near the cash register to encourage a little impulse buying.  Not dated, but a prior ebay listing showed one accompanied by an 1950 Fleer merchant box of unopened pieces of the gum.  Very attractive design with high-relief features on all four side panels.  Constructed of a pale yellow-colored stiff plastic with a small elevation on the bottom to tilt it slightly forward.  These were provided to retail merchants and were not available for purchase by the general public.  The piece is 7 3/4" wide, 5" long and 2" deep.
    See photos for a closer look.  There is a single vertical crack on the front panel (see last photo) and some very small chips/dings along the upper rim; interior shows wear from ordinary use.  Very attractive for hobby display!
