1880-1920 Diegueno California Mission Indian basket
An excellent example of a finely made, local (to San Diego), California Mission Native American Indian basket from the Diegueno people; close neighbors of the Kumeyaay, Luiseño, and Cahuilla.
This is an old one: 1880-1920. A recent San Diego estate sale find.
7.5" diameter x 2.75" tall.  Tightly woven from juncus grass (rush).
Very nice condition. Please examine my photos closely.
